On The Water Training
Individualized, one-on-one electronics training in your boat is perhaps the most powerful way to take your fishing to the next level. I will continue to offer on-the-water training on Humminbird and Minn Kota equipment during the 2025 open water season.

What can we work on during your session? Anything you’d like. This year I’ll be offering training on:


Humminbird equipment: APEX, XPLORE, SOLIX, HELIX (G3N or higher only), MEGA 360, MEGA LIVE 1, MEGA LIVE 2


Minn Kota equipment: i-Pilot, i-Pilot Link, and Advanced GPS Navigation


We can dial in settings, work on interpretation, go deep on a couple topics…it’s all up to you. This is your training session and we'll do exactly what you want. And as always, software updates, troubleshooting, networking, transducer placement, basic rigging, accessory options, and more are all available during the training session. I can also connect you with reputable dealers that I trust for new equipment purchases and installation. Your training experience will be completely tailored to your equipment and your needs.

Typical locations include western Wisconsin (Eau Claire and Menomonie WI areas), northeast Twin Cities (White Bear or Bald Eagle lakes), southern Twin Cities (Prior lake), Brainerd/Mille Lacs MN, and Hayward WI. Other locations by special arrangement only.

A typical training session is 2 hours long, although longer sessions are also available. The training fee and deposit are location-dependent and will be discussed when arranging your session. On-the-water training is offered by appointment only from April 1-October 1 with the greatest availability from May 15-Sept 1.
